District Duals Postponed to Monday
Due to the predicted snowstorm this weekend, the District 1 Duals originally scheduled for Friday and Saturday have been postponed until Monday. The Bears' quarterfinal match with Upper Moreland will now take place at 4 PM on Monday, at Pottstown HS. Semifinals will follow at 5:30 PM with the finals at 7 PM. Due to the schedule change, there will be no wrestlebacks for losing in the quarterfinals. The semifinals losers will wrestle for third.
Bears pound Pottstown 63-12
Congratulations to the Boyertown Wrestling team who defeated Pottstown by a score of 63 to 12 on Friday night. Earning falls for the Bears were Peter Jones, Tyler Mauger, Brock Hallman, Zach Heffner, Austin Mutter, Adam Kolb, and Matt Malfaro. Adam Benfield, Chase Garber, and Luke Hoffman each won by a decision, while Alex Pellicciotti and Jon Neiman won by a forfeit. The Bears improved their record to 18 and 5 overall, and 7 and 0 in the PAC 10. Their next match is on at 6:30 on Wednesday at Phoenixville.

Bears defeat Neshaminy to advance to D1 Quarters
Congratulations to the Boyertown wrestling team who defeated Neshaminy by a score of 56 to 13 in the second round of District One Duals. Earning falls for the Bears were Adam Kolb, Jeremy Minich, Alex Pellicciotti, Jon Neiman, Tyler Mauger, Zach Heffner and Ryan Schwager. Matt Malfaro and Peter Jones each had a major decison, while Chase Garber and Brock Hallman each won via a decision. The Bears improved their record to 17 and 5 overall. Their next match is on Friday at home against Pottstown at 6:30.

Bears beat Methacton Warriors 51-19
Congratulations to the Boyertown Wrestling team who defeated Methacton by a score of 51 to 19. Winnng by fall for the Bears were Luke Hoffman, Adam Kolb, Matt Malfaro, Jeremy Minich, Peter Jones, Alex Pellicciotti, and Jon Neiman. Chase Garber also contributed to the win by earning a decision, and Ryan Schwager received a forfeit. The Bears improved their record to 16 and 5 overall, and 6 and 0 in the PAC 10. The teams next match is at 7:30pm on Thursday at Pottsgrove against either Neshaminy or Pennsbury in the second round of the District One Duals.

Sectional Tourney Planning Meeting on Feb. 16th
Boyertown will be hosting the District 1 AAA Section 4 tournament again this year. Help is always needed to allow the tournament to run smoothly. There will be a FINAL planning meeting on Tuesday, February 16th at 7 PM at the Orioles. Anyone interested in helping out is encouraged to attend this important meeting. The tournament will be held on Saturday, February 20th.

Our Boyertown Youth Wrestling Club has AGAIN won the ICWL Team Championship. We have won this tournament 3 times in the last 4 years. It is an awesome accomplishment to win this tournament. There are over 50 teams in our ICWL league.
This is a testament of the strength of our program and the dedication of our wrestlers, parents, coaches and Board of Directors. Boyertown Wrestling has a reputation of being one of the best programs in the region and the TRADITION CONTINUES!
